The Model 501 Telephony Audio Analyzer is a
complete solution for evaluating the Acoustic performance a cordless,
cellular/mobile and VOIP telephones in the QA and production environments.
Using high tolerance components and a standards compliant acoustic fixture
the Model 501 TAA runs on a Pentium class Windows NT computer platform
with the Microtronix M501 real time controller (RTC) installed. Two
programmable line level inputs and two programmable line level outputs
allow simple connection to RF test sets, digital encoders or CO
simulators.
The Model 501 uses traditional sinusoidal
test signals with a tracking filter to maximize signal to noise ratio in
factory applications. This becomes increasingly important with the advent
of smaller handsets.
COUNTRY KIT
SOFTWARE
Microtronix has developed an extensive library of acoustic Test Program
applications for the Model 501 TAA that comply with Country specifications
for all major telephone markets. Each Test Program provides proper
stimulation levels, limit masks and loudness ratings limits. Loudness
rating calculation is performed according to the requirements of the
specification and compared to the limits. Test program parameters and
limits are easily edited with the Microtronix Test Program Editor for
Windows (TPE). The integrated nature of the Model 501 TAA makes it perfect
for telephone QA and design applications.
The Model 501 console and the Microtronix
Graph Manager programs reside on the Windows Desktop and can be re-sized
to suit your application. The Model 501 console uses the familiar
Microtronix "look and feel" to minimized the need for operator
training. The console program displays all test program instructions and
status information to the operator. The Graph Manager, under test program
control is a multi-screen plotter that creates full colour graphs of test
program results . Graphs can be arranged on the screen in any convenient
size and the positions are memorized for each test program
NETWORK READY
The Model 501 architecture is ready for network operation. Using the
optional Summary Collector software, full reports for each test are saved
to local or network disk drives. With the Network Control software package
it can be completely controlled over a network. This means that test
software can be downloaded into the Test Set, operator performance can be
monitored, test results can be collected and even diagnostics can be run
without ever leaving your desk.
